As an Ohio Psychological Association affiliate, Akron Area Professional exists to strengthen efforts to engender community, collaboration, and empowerment among psychologists and affiliated mental health professions in North East Ohio. Isaac Weaver, Psy.D.
In his role as AAPP President, Isaac enjoys cultivating opportunities for collaboration and education among those practicing psychology in the Akron/Canton region. Isaac is an Ohio licensed psychologist and the owner of Weaver Counseling and Assessment Services, LLC, a private practice based in Canton, Ohio dedicated to providing psychological tools (assessment and therapy) that promote new understandings in ways that are both accessible and acceptance to the community.
Robert Willoughby, Psy.D
In his role as Vice President of AAPP, Robert works with in collaboration with the AAPP board to help develop programing for the membership and community. Robert was trained in a Humanistic based program at Michigan School of Psychology. He works at Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health in the community mental health system where he is the Care Pathway Program Manager which focuses development of needs related to self-harm, suicide, and severe behaviors. The program works with the Zero Suicide Initiative and a DBT informed group called Doing Better Together. Robert Also works with Child and Family Psychological Associates in private practice providing therapy services.
Colin Christensen, Ph.D.
In his role of AAPP Secretary/Treasurer, Colin works to provide structure and support to AAPP ventures designed to foster education, cultivate community, and empower psychologists in the Akron/Canton region. Colin is an Ohio licensed psychologist and serves as a staff psychologist in both supervisory and administrative roles at Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health, a community-based mental health clinic in Stark County, Ohio dedicated to being a premier resource for emotional and behavioral health services and products that help children, youth, and families.
